  Troubleshooting Guide While Taking Test

Q1 There is no sound.
Q2 I finished all questions but I cannot look at the score.
Q3 A message appeared saying, "The test cannot be taken as you have reached the limit of available tickets. Please contact your group administrator."
Q4 My computer froze or page error occurred during the session and cannot proceed.
Q5 The test does not start even after clicking "Start test." (Window does not open)
Q6 Can I go back and answer a question even after proceeding to the next question?



 Troubleshooting Guide While Taking Test (Answers)

Q1   There is no sound.

A1 Please try the following to resolve the problem.
<Be Aware> There is no sound for CASEC section "1" and "2". Listening based questions are only in Section "3" and "4".

Please run "CASEC Operating Environment Check"

Start Operating Environment Check

<Already ran "CASEC Operating Environment Check">
If you already ran the "CASEC Operating Environment Check" and the sound is not working, please check below.

■Please check the volume setting of PC and headphone.
※Please check sound by adjusting volume button.
※If using headphone, please check that the device is connected correctly to the PC.
■There is a possibility that the volume could be low or muted by the sound setting of PC's OS(Windows, Mac). Please un-mute or adjust the sound in the sound settings of the OS.

In the case of no sound after attempting all of the above, CASEC test operates under the PC environment listed below. Please try an alternative PC or browser, if possible.

Q2   I finished all questions but I cannot look at the score.

A2 Please restart the browser and log-in once again. After log-in, the test can be resumed when the "Test resume" button appears and is clicked. If all questions are answered, score report will appear. The "Test resume" button will be shown only for two weeks, please contact CASEC Support Center if the button does not appear.

*Attention* There is possibility that your organization decided not to show the Score Report to the examinee. If a message appears indicating that the score will not be displayed after finishing the test, the examinee will not be able to see the score.

Q3   A message appeared saying, "The test cannot be taken as you have reached
 the limit of available tickets. Please contact your group administrator."

A3 If your organization limits the number of exams to be taken, there is a possibility that a message "The test cannot be taken as you have reached the limit of available exams" will appear after log-in. Please contact CASEC Support Center if the message appears and you need to take the test.

Q4   My computer froze or page error occurred during the session and cannot proceed.

A4 Please close the CASEC test browser. Restart the browser and log-in again. After log-in, a button "Test resume" will appear. Click the button and resume the test. As the "Test resume" button will be shown only for two weeks, please contact CASEC Support Center if the button does not appear.

Q5   The test does not start even after clicking "Start test." (Window does not open)

A5 Due to the browser environment, there maybe a possibility of CASEC test screen not opening correctly. This may also happen when the pop-up block function is enabled. Please turn off the "pop-up block" setting in the browser setting menu and start the CASEC test again. There is also a possibility that the CASEC test screen doesn't open due to the usage of a toolbar (Google toolbar etc.). In this case, please turn off the pop-up block function of the toolbar temporary and start CASEC test again.

Q6   Can I go back and answer a question even after proceeding to the next question?

A6 You cannot go back and answer a question you have already answered in CASEC.
